well i suspect he has a pretty solid biblical reason for this statement. as you know, the only way to salvation is through christ. in fact god gave his only son so we could go to heaven though him.

also i think you guys are pretty arrogant to be critical of his personal faith. he could be right, he could be wrong, you cant know so you should respect his view.

just because you are an elected official, that doesnt make the good news of god's love for us untrue, and there is no reason he shouldnt discuss it.
