I just wanted to stop in and say something to all the hunters. Last weekend at the LSU game I got a text while in the stands that a dear friend of mine for about 20 years was killed in a hunting accident. He was shot and killed instantly while dragging a buck back to his stand.

Please remember to be safe out there, there are a lot of idiots out in those woods with firepower. Wear your safety orange, it may save your life.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. There are too many idiots out there who think that a hunting license gives them the go ahead to shoot at anything that moves.

And pay attention to where the dangerous end is pointing. A friend of mine shot another hunter in the leg while trying to unload his weapon.

Sorry to hear that. Happened recently to a kid at a local high school. His friend accidently shot and killed him.
