you honestly believe that those two sat in a plane on a tarmac and discussed only their grandchildren....and that at no point an investigation of someone they were both close to was on-going????

    I honestly believe that.

But I'm interested to know: do YOU honestly believe that Trump sent Pence and Sessions out of the room to merely tell Comey a joke about ending the Flynn investigation?

it really doesn't matter whether we believe it or not. in fact, even if they discussed every aspect of the investigation nothing was done wrong because lynch was not part of the investigation at the time. as I said before if Comey had recommended charges be filed then lynch would have had to recuse herself or be the subject of an investigation into her own actions.

That's correct. Why are they even harping on that? Unlike Jeff Sessions's sham recusal in the Russia investigation, history shows that Lynch took her own in the Clinton email matter sincerely and seriously.

She would have had to recuse herself if she thought that anybody knew for sure what they talked about.

the hypocrisy and double standard being applied by Republicans is staggering. some R's haven't been fooled by Trump; I'll give @Winston1 some credit for being one of them........others are sobering up as events unfold and their hopes for Trump fade......still others will never come off of it regardless.

imo she would have had to recuse herself regardless. the optics of it are so bad that there is no way she could have played a role in the investigation moving forward.

Again, if she was sure or suspected anybody knew what they talked about she would have protected herself by recusal. If she didn't think that anybody knew what's to keep her from taking part and hindering the progress of the investigation? Even if she didn't want to do it she owed Obamahammed big time for her job and political power

comey has already demonstrated that he will do or say whatever is in comeys interest. and to think that lynch and comey never had a discussion on clinton but that session and comey did on trump is hypocritical.
