I wonder if Brick stayed on this long out of respect for Miles and LSU? until he was replaced? Or did Brick leave LSU when he was passed over for DC?
That doesn't surprise me. I called Steve on my way in to work and luckily he had a few minutes to talk before it started getting busy at the cafe. We figured that Brick probably regretted signing his extension and expected Chief would do the same. Once Chief left, Haley probably wanted to follow. I'm guessing he had a heart to heart talk with Les and Les has made his departure possible. Wonder if he has a buyout?
It may have taken this long as they were in a staring contest over the buyout. Or perhaps Brick wanted the DC position and decided to leave because he was passed over. LSUDad, more pieces to fall or is this it?
What do I know? The recruiting pieces will fall into place, as to keeping players, etc. With 3 coaches that have won Recruiting Coach of The Year on staff. Orgeron being out of recruiting for a while, gonna guess that Les has to just open the gate and get out of the way. Don't you know Orgeron has said a number of times, he has not been in contact with LSU.
Chavis was more of a guy that kept to himself, he was often seen around town eating by himself. He didn't like to recruit, Brick took up his slack. Les allowed this. The others on the staff picked up where John left off. Talk about Blitz, thats whats going on now with this staff. Everyone was talking Ohio St and Oregon, now that talk seems so far away. Why is that?
