http://highschoolsports.nola.com/ne...38/salmen-wr-chuck-baker-de-commits-from-lsu/ Salmen HS wide receiver Chuck Baker is no longer committed to LSU for the class of 2013. Baker, who has been committed since February, withdrew his commitment in what sources claim is a mutual parting between both parties. With so few spots left in this class, theLSU staff is being cautious when recruiting prospects, as they do not want a situation similar to last year where players didn’t qualify or de-committed late in the process. It has been reported that Baker still had some work to do in the classroom in order to qualify for enrollment next year. The wide receiver position is one of need for the Tigers, so look for them to push hard for another commitment at the position. Local prospect Kevin Spears from Holy Cross recently popped up on the radar and national star Ricky Seals-Jones is still on the board. Junior college standout Courtney Gardner tried to commit recently, but he still has work to do in order to qualify as well.
Funny but I actually think that's the case here. We have very few spots and some big names still out there. Hopefully this opens up a spot for RSJ
And sometimes it's true. If you don't think the coaches are pushing off some guys since there are some high 4*and 5* guys on the board, then your mistaken. I don't know for sure if that's the case here but it definitely happens.
Of course and when your team does it you will always think this one time it's true. That's how it works.
I actually hinted at this months back. Grades in question and with the new rules we can't have too many question marks come NSD. Could see this discussion with one or two other commits before NSD.
