nobody has seen Ensminger's offense in 20 years. since '98, he's had a pair of interim stints, but never as the guy installing and calling the offense.
Ensminger's is in the same mold as CEO's... Its almost like LSU is afraid to go after someone better because they just might get turned down.
This program is going nowhere. The portion of the old goal post over the door of the entrance to the tunnel says ‘Win.’ They should spray paint over it and write ‘Settle.’ 9-3 here they come . Rinse, lather, repeat. The only silver lining in this shit storm is maybe they’re saving some money with Baby Huey as HC. Hopefully by 2020 Mr Clean is ready for the promotion from DC or there is enough money again in the coffers to make a quality hire. Until then LSU football will be like watching the Godfather again. Yeah, it’s your favorite, but you’ve seen it 17 times. Leave the gun. Take the cannolis.
I've got nothing against Ensminger. He did a good good in his stint as interim. But it seems LSU always settles. I really wanted LSU to go after a young, innovative coach in the year Miles didn't get fired. I want a Will Wade in Tiger Stadium, but we always seem to play it safe. That said, I think the offense will be better than it was under Miles/Cam but I'm not confident we'll improve in the W-L column. And it's been reported that the entire staff wanted Coach E.
After watching last nights game we are light years behind the teams that play for and win championships. We would get shellacked by either of these teams and the worst of it is they used to coach us. Our safe philosophy is killing us as we can’t develop even one QBs and these guys have freshman starting and coming off the bench looking like seasoned pros. Just pathetic that our administration is such a clown show!
