Damn. That's a crying shame, would've liked to have seen him go out on a high note. Well, it's Jennings first start, let's have a good look at him.
Kinda strange. This is being reported by some Caplan dude up in Philly with ESPN, yet the LSU brass will not confirm or deny the report. Per Michael Bonnette: "LSU is aware of the ESPN report regarding QB Zach Mettenberger's injury. At this point, I can't confirm or deny what ESPN is reporting." He also says: "We plan to issue an update on Zach's injury tomorrow but there won't be any further comment tonight." Guess we'll find out in the morning.
I guess LSU was/is mum on the subject because they did not want the news to negatively affect bowl invites. ESPN now saying surgery is scheduled in 2 weeks. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/10076730/zach-mettenberger-lsu-tigers-torn-acl
He's a great kid; hoping for the best: @MikeDetillier: Rehab critical to draft status of LSU QB. Zach Mettenberger who will miss bowl game due to torn ACL. Still probable1st or early 2nd R. pick.
It MUST be true! ESPN was also the organization that broke the story 1st when Les Miles left LSU to become Michigan's head coach.
That knee has been through hell this year. Perhaps it finally took all it could take. I feel bad for him and Aaron Murray.
