Says if the deal goes through, he will be the backup. 3 mill to play flynn for the season. Also says NO will be a SB contender.

    I'm so lost

Meanwhile, it looks like the Malcolm Butler trade talks are falling apart. smh

If Loomis had half a brain Butler would have been part of the Brandin
Cooks trade. He has more value than whoever the Saints might draft at #32

Exactly. That made no sense. You trade your playmaker and they don't trade the guy you targeted. Fucking Saints.

The way I see it is the Saints have a two year window to make a deep playoff run and become a contender for the Superbowl before Brees effectiveness starts to diminish. But that can only happen if the front office makes smart moves. After that they are going to have to do a complete rebuild. Acquiring Butler would have been a big step in the right direction. AP and the 32nd puck aren't going to put them one step closer to that goal.

Depends if they are building for now or the future. They're trying to do both. The Gm and coach haven't been on the same page because they lack an actual plan.

They will just keep adding random washed up players and reaching in the draft while letting the few decent guys simply walk. Fucking Saints.

Some things never change. Look at the history of the Saint's draft picks. At the rate they are going the best they can hope for is continued mediocrity. Just go all in for the chance at a Superbowl and accept that they will still be a little better than the Cleveland Browns in 4 or 5 years. Can we talk Theo Epstein into rebuilding the Saints after the next couple of years.

So there it is. $3 Million is way too much for a 32 year old backup RB with a history of knee surgery. There is only one reason AP is willing to sign with the Saints for that amount. Nobody else is willing to pay him that much. Instead they should be looking for the next Pierre Thomas or Chris Ivory for a lot less.
