Give them credit....they played the long game and got their way. Politically that isn't an easy thing to do, especially in our system where gridlock is often the norm and one could argue was by design by the Founding Fathers.

The FETUS was not already dead. And as I've already said, I know a young Louisiana woman who TWICE was carrying live fetuses that had no chance of living beyond a few hours once they were born... and their short lives were going to be extremely painful without morphine or such.
