    Is the Pastime still around? I recall good pizza and loved all the LSU pictures.

    Ahh, Shakeys. 12" pizzas for $2.49.

    They had a banjo player there that would ask the audience trivia questions and give free drink tickets to the winners. I never paid for a beer at Shakeys if the banjo guy was there. I am one trivial son of a bitch.

    frostop downtown used to make some pretty good oyster poboys and a frosty mugged rootbeer to chase it down. the shakes were pretty good as well. the place was always pretty filthy if i recall.

    not sure if its still there.

    Frostop is still packed at lunchtime. Their fries are very good.
