I would definitely love to see him do it. His highlight reel during the recruiting bash in 05 were absolutely amazing. I do wonder if he can take the hard hits at the sec level though. One thing is certain, it would be exciting to watch him try!
this would be his only job, so i'd like to think he is durable enough to get hit 3-4 times a game he is REALLY small though
that really is an advantage in open-field, b/c tacklers are used to a runners center of gravity being MUCH higher
We may have to wait for him to bulk up some, but he's been at LSU for a while now working with Moffit, so I'd like to hope he'll be ready for it this coming season.
Anyone ever remember Skyler getting hit really hard on a return, I don't. He was pretty careful back there though, calling a lot of fair catches when it was going to be close.
Trindon's playing style is to go full speed and attack the gaps though. With his size, a full speed hit will really test him.
I hope he is as you say, I always thought Skyler was a bit to tentative on KO returns as was XC, they didn't explode up field like a great KO returner needs to. Skyler's style was fabulous on punt returns but not suited for KO's.
Two teammates quotes I've heard regarding Holliday: "He beat XC in the 60" "He's at full speed in two steps"
Not to start a debate but to clarify that Trindon & Xavier have never raced head-to-head. I think that 60m debate comes from what they ran during the indoor track season. Xavier ran 6.75 in the prelims of his 1st indoor meet of the season & he didn't run in the finals. Trindon’s fastest time during the indoor season was 6.74 seconds. Xavier only ran one 60m dash & it was a prelim & not a final where he would have run faster (he wasn't challenged in the prelim). Trindon ran the 60m dash several times & only produced one time faster than Xavier & it was in the finals not a prelim. Obviously, Trindon is probably a little quicker since he is all of 5'5", but he's not faster than Xavier. I don't know what happened to Trindon during the outdoor season as his only 100m race time was 11.01. He would have lost to a girl (LSU - Kelly Ann Baptiste) that day.
