No playing time and wanted to be with his brother. He left on good terms but just wasn't going to get a chance to play with LSU's depth at QB.

Definitely don't agree that he would have beat out Randall, Jarmarcus and Matt Flynt.

    I really think he's be 4rth string.

How do you figure he had enuf experience? He hasn't seen the light of day on the football field.

I do agree however that Randall won't last past 3 games into the season.

Clausen was given every opportunity by Nick, including playing time and he even started one game. He had three years experience in the system. but he just couldn't finish in the top three after last spring. Nick agreed that he might be better off finding a greener pasture and released him to play anywhere. He was smart to transfer with two years of eligibility left. But he wasn't smart about going to Tennessee. He could have gone to a Div I-AA school like Craig Nall did. He would have started for two years and might have had a long-shot for the NFL. He will likely ride the bench at Tennessee.

Does anyone remember the games (Bama and OM) that Clausen played in? Good lord I remember watching those games and thinking a HS kid could throw harder and farther then him. He looked as lost and confused as anyone I have ever seen take a snap behind center. I say good riddens for LSU that he left. Russell is 10x what he is.

Man some people must really hate Randall to say Clausen is better than him based off of what we have seen of both.
