Rick Jones would be hired at LSU, only, if every other candidate turns them down. LSU will not go after a Tulane coach and admit that Tulane is better in any sport. Personally, I think the LSU Board of Supervisors would have a hard time approving a Tulane coach. Tony
But I don't think Jones would leave Tulane. He has turned down other offers at large schools. Also, if that had happened, you could kiss goodbye any series between LSU and Tulane. Jones will not coach against former assistants, or against schools he has coached at, unless has to for conference or tourney play.
I think Jones could be lured away and who cares if we ever play toolame again in any sport ever. JMHO:grin:
I love the baseball rivalry with Tulane. To have a really good in state opponent with such an intense rivalry (on both sides) makes for some exciting baseball, and is good for the OOC schedule and RPI.
I think that having both Rice and Tulane on the schedule every year would help. IMO, the Tigers need a stronger OOC schedule. And of course, to win the games.
Busted!:hihi: Of course it does!! I know a hell of a lot about Tulane, so I think it is a good rivalry to have. Plus, there is a certain amount of satisfaction to be had in Tiger Baiting a spouse! :hihi:
