Maybe the NCAA was sufficiently embarrassed by the brazen double standard that would have been set after Ohio State's little sweetheart deal.
why was he reinstated? all i can find is the non-answer --"Ridley was initially declared ineligible, however, after additional information was provided to the NCAA, it was determined no violation of NCAA rules occurred in this instance. "
