This was on my official 2011 predictions. Many were saying if he got anywhere between a 2-5 round draft grade he was gone and I think many factors like school, possible injury, etc... are coming into play.

He has until the 18th to officially decide.

Sure. But those with potential to succeed, like Jones did, might have made first round money with 5-6 year guaranteed contracts for $10-$20 million.

Leaving early gets quick money, but it could cost star players $millions in the long run.

As far as Ridley . . . we must remember that Ridley may not have committed an NCAA infraction, or a team infraction, but he did commit an LSU academic infraction and if ruled to be cheating, could end up with Ridley on academic probation and ineligible to enroll for a semester or a year. If Ridley fears academic ineligibility, then he has little choice but to go pro.

FWIW, a friend of mine said he had been hearing "whispers" about this all season, and that Ridley saw how Charles Scott's stock took a major hit for factors largely out of his control (ie, crappy OL/QB play) and that affected his decision.

Scott rushed for 1,000 yards and 18 TD's, how did his stock take any kind of hit?

The stats might have been there, but the play on the field was evident that he did not show the same burst and power as he did as a Junior.

His stock DEFINITELY dropped from what appeared to be a 2nd/3rd round pick to almost not being picked at all.
