Hokie was diagnosed last year and was only 56. Tragic.

Deuce McAllister took his place in the booth for several games on the radio broadcast but Hokie was back for the last couple of games. I thought he had gotten well.

Every last one of us has to make this journey some day.

    Rest in peace.

How many are old enough to say they saw him play at LSU??? Always one of my favorites as a player and definitely my alltime favorite Tiger name just ahead of Nacho Albergamo!
Some friends in NO had a little boy a few years ago, I wanted to start his LSU heritage early so I nicknamed this little boy Hokie Gajan Foret Simon. Still refer to him by that name today.

I'm sure Hokie will meet ALL Tigers at the Pearly Gates with a huge plate of steaming jambalaya!!! May he rest in the peace he deserves.

Was he a good player as a tiger. I couldn't recall him before the Saints.

I think for most of his LSU time he was fullback in front of Charles Alexander. May have shared the tailback position in his senior year.

yep, thought you might think that was subjective....I thought hokie was the epitome of someone who made himself into the best player he could be. to me he was similar to jacob hester
