It was just an opinion and an outsider one at that. I apologize if I've trivialized the situation in any way. Obviously I have no inside info on RP or anything else to sway me one way or the other.
I agree that a big deal was made out of both situations without the facts of the actual events that took place. Most will not ever know for sure what happened with both players down the road. However, I do know that sexual assualt heresay will be harder to overcome.
There are parallels to being in trouble off the field, but it doesn't stop there. Both were touted as the best thing since sliced bread, yet neither has sniffed the field at this point. And I believe it's really tough on top athletes to deal with that. Not only does the public have high expectations for these guys like Sanchez and Perrilloux, but they also have expectations at least as high in themselves.
