Ro is heading abroad

Discussion in 'The Tiger's Den' started by LSUBayouBengals, Feb 8, 2004.

  1. The Patriots page says that Ro has asked to be sent to NFL Europe so that he can get some playing time. I think this is an awesome move for him as it is highly unlikely he'll see the field in front of a 2 time SuperBowl winner. This will at least get him some experience and exposure so that he might be attractive for a trade for the right team in need.

It didn't hurt Jake Delhomme or Kurt Warner to play in Europe.

    I heard it was Berlin.

  5. I'm not sure how all that works but I think they have to enter some kinda NFLE draft. I dont know if he knows where he will be yet. They all report to camp on Feb 27.

For some reason, I don't know about this. I thought he was supposed to be a coveted backup? What if Brady gets hurt? I guess it can't hurt Ro, but I guess I figured he would backup Brady for one more year and then sign on the following season with another team with the chance of winning the starting job...

  7. Yeh, I think he's having kind of a hard time beating out Damon Huard for the number two. I think Huards contract is up this year though. I imagine Ro wanted to go due to frustration to show what he can do in the games. If you remember, he didnt practice that great at LSU but totally lit it up in the games. I've heard him on some of the BR radio stations and it sounded like he was a little frustrated with the lack of PT.

I would watch a Europe game if I knew Ro was starting at QB.

No doubt! Could think of worse things to do in the offseason. Are the NFLE games, other than their champ game broadcast over here anyway?
