Go and have fun, besides, it's an LSU/BAMA away game which means LSU will win . Beautiful campus, beautiful babes, throw in some bbq and beer..............it'll be fun.
It doesn't upset them. They really think they are God's gift to the SEC. I was at a Bama basketball camp this past weekend (I am a high school official) and I wore my Auburn hat the whole weekend. No one said boo to me the whole time. If you do go to Tuscaloosa, eat at Dreamland and don't expect much out of the campus and the town itself.
Now you see, that is how Bama fans and us are different. I would have given you some good natured grief over that hat, then, we would have stood around and talked some football until my wife dragged me away. I've got my daughter trained to Tiger Bait anyone wearing another SEC school's colors. As long as they smile at her, and are nice about it, I'll shake their hand and welcome them to the area. It's all in good fun, I don't expect anything different when I am out of state. Actually, I like it, anyone who cares enough to say something is usually willing to talk some sports. I think that is what makes our conference so great, the fan loyalty. No matter how bad a team is, they represent your state. Up north, for the most part, people jump on the bandwagon of whoever is doing good lately. Try saying something to a yankee, about a hat he is wearing, and he'll most likely look at you like your smoking crack.
Make your buddy do all the driving - it's difficult to murder someone and drive at the same time. To accomplish this, simply begin to drink heavily 15 minutes into the trip and he will be forced to drive the entire way. When you reach the Alabama state line, encourage him to speed excessively by questioning his manhood, suggesting he's gay, and accusing him of never living life to the fullest. When the Alabama State Trooper pulls him over, promptly remove your shirt to reveal your "Bear Bryant Was A PU**Y" undershirt. After they impound the car, call me and I'll pick you up and we can go to the game with your buddy's ticket since he will have to deal with his car situation.
I have been to Bama several times. The last time I went, I stopped at MSU before hand so Alabama looked like Heaven then.
Well Auburn fans aren't exempt from that kind of stuff in my experience. At one of the New Orleans Voodoo games this year, there was this fellow wearing a Bo Jackson Auburn football jersey. So as we were walking out I saw him and I yelled "BOOOOOOO! AUBURN!" and then immediately smiled so that he knew I was just kidding. Well, he turned around and gave me that "F--k you." look and kept on walking.
Nah, we have had to put up with idiotic Bama fans all our lives. Their obnoxious 12 mythical national championships make the crystal envy look weak. Bammers, their attitudes and behavior, make a few piss filled ballons, tipped over port-a-johns and burned cars just a little fun between rivals...
