    Pretty telling that Ryan's defense has now let 2 rookie QBs look like first ballot Hall of Famers.

    I don't think I was defending him, just acknowledging that the defense has had injury issues. They continued today, with no Kikaha or Ellerbe. Having said that, I've had it with his Santa Claus looking ass too. I was thinking after next week's game would be the best time to fire him, giving them two weeks with the bye to adjust to Dennis Allen. But I would be plenty happy if they sent him back to Airline Highway to clean out his desk tonight.

    43 games, and counting, and no defensive TDs. Only team in the league that can say that. Even Spags D scored. This could be the worst Saints' D, if you can even call it that, in my lifetime.

    No firing.

    My nephew brought up a great point to me, Payton knows he is gone after this season so what does he care what happens with this Saints team in 2015.

    Going where? He isn't going to be fired. However I blame him more than I blame Ryan for the crappy defense. His drafts and free agency have been epic failures. You'll be hard pressed to find an NFL defense with less talent.

    Rumors are that he would take the Colts job. Andrew Luck at about the same stage of development as Brees was in 2006. Could be attractive for Payton
