Sounds pretty promising for LSU...we'll have to wait and see though. How good is Ryan Carter and is he someone we would likek to recruit hard too?

His dad said that LSU has the slight lead over Bama at this point.

However, as we all know we have to see what he says as the visit euphoria wears off. Either way it is very encouraging and we are in it until NSD.

:geaux: Just out of curiosity, based on what? Didn't seem like a slam dunk to Bama based on that article. Just sayin.........:LSU231:

This is what the bama fans around this part are saying. Who knows until the paperwork is signed.

He has been a bama lean for close to 2 years and visited multiple times over that span and only once here. The reason for my comments above.

I do however feel that LSU put them squarely in the top 2 and he will be back for an official. But going to be hard IMO come NSD.

Have we ever gotten a kid ranked in the top 5-10 from out of state?

Edit: I looked it up and in the last ten years we've gotten two oos guys in the top ten. Russell Shepard (barely oos) out of Houston and Patrick Peterson (huge get) out of Miami. We have a great program but I'm still not sure we are where we would like to be with respect to recruiting nationally. We're getting better though. If we ever get there, look out.
