1. It is generally best to quote an excerpt from an article, then post a link to the source. That keeps people from wrongly assuming that the poster is the author and it keeps other sites from getting annoyed at the theft of a copyrighted article without permission. It's not a hard rule that the mods enforce with warnings and deletions, but it is proper web protocol for posters who are responsible. And it reduce the chances of some hardass suing BRETT.

    Plus . . . posting a long article constitutes audience abuse on a message board. Our attention spans are shorter than our patience with a young team.

  4. It filters out the trite posters, the trivial minds, and those that never change their sigpic, which also constitutes audience abuse.
