Thank you for stating the obvious! :thumb: no that isn't sarcasm, you are truly the only one who has posted it. amazing concept that the job of QB would actually go to the best player at that position. Wow has this been the case for years? :dis: yeah I think it has.
Not according to many on this board, they seem to think there is some predetermined way to pick the QB that has nothing to do with performance in the spring.
Who is to say who will be the starter at QB next season? ("IF we get RP"!) RP, Russell, Flynn all have to go through spring training. You never can tell until after training is over and who grasps the system the best and fits into the program best. Russell could improve and become more confident in the pocket. His decission making skill could also improve. He will be the "PROBABLE" starter next year. RP being on of the nations top recruits could easilly start. Have you seen this kid play! WOW! He would be hard to turn down for the starting role. The offense will be a more open kind of offense which would favor RP the most. Even Flynn although a slim chance, very slim chance could start. Jimbo said how he has improved in practice and he probably looked better in practice.(Before Iowa) He seems to know the system better. The truth is time will tell who is more dedicated and honestly who wants it more. All these guys are starting off on a clean slat and will have to prove themselves to Coach Miles and Fisher.
RP won't be here till fall if I am not mistaken, so that means flynn and russell will have a jump on him.
