DD reports that it is too late to enroll in even a 1-AA school for this year. Him transferring in the middle of the season doesn't seem to make any sense.
He's one of my favorite players on this team and I hate to see him go(if it is true) but if he does I wish him all the luck in the world. I love watching the highlight videos of him on youtube. :helmet: Maybe Coach Miles will address it tonight on his radio show.
Perriloux is next. If he Gets nothing but carbage time next year. See ya.... This sucks I like Broussard.
It would make less sense for RP to transfer than AB......RP will not transfer to 1-AA, and would make absolutely no sense to transfer to 1-A as he would see the field at the same time here at LSU! If RP had any thoughts of transfering he would have been long gone already!
Broussard & Perrilloux are completely different. Broussard isn't playing because he's lacked work ethic ever since he got hurt. He just hasn't had his head on straight, and that falls entirely on him (although I'd hope the coaches provide some sort of access to a sports psychologist). He's 30 lbs overweight & doesn't practice hard, plus he isn't playing very well. Who can blame the coaches for not playing him? He's supposedly going to McNeese...
Don't get carried away. It ain't next year yet. If Russell stays, there could be a transfer before the season even starts. But in a competition without Russell, Perriloux has a real shot at winning the start.
Even if Russell stays, RP will have 2 full years by himself! If RP transfers it will have to be to D-2 in order to gain a year of playing time and I just don't see him going that route.
