It's not a rumor and in 08 AU will face the fact that their rivalry w/Bama is over until that program turns things around. I love how AU fans deny the fact that LSU is a big rival and we sort of own their @ss.

Then what the **** do you call last year for Bama? They overachieved but they are definitely a program on the rise in the SEC West. LSU isn't even Auburn's second biggest rival. That is Georgia or Tennessee.
simply implying that if home is where the heart is, use the 30 days paid vacation time the military gives you, hop on a mac flight and go "home". during that 30 day period look for suitable housing and begin the process of establishing your home there. look at real estate, etc. many of my friends bought homes while serving our country. you can too.

Our rivalry with Bama will never be dead. I grew up in Georgia so I have a different perspective, but everyone who grows up in Alabama is brought up to love one of the schools and hate the other. LSU isn't considered when it comes to that. Own our ass? The series history is 21-18-1, LSU. Nobody has won 2 in a row since 1999-2000 when we won both of them. That means the home team has won every game since 2001. I'd hardly call that owning. Anyways back to the point...LSU is one of the most important games on our schedule, and quickly turning into a great rivalry, but it has a long way to go to catch Alabama and Georgia. But hey, I'm content with the winner of the LSU-Auburn game goign to the SECC because that means we've both kicking Alabama's ass :thumb:.
