I think that if we weren't deceived into thinking we were getting rid of the problem (i.e., Les Miles), maybe things wouldn't be as negative as they are. A lot of us feel we're stuck with a head coach that gives us absolutely no chance to ever beat Alabama again and consequently win the West. And if you can't do that, last time I checked, you ain't getting into the playoffs. We recruit too damn well to accept that as reality. But that's where we are at this point. Could you imagine what this board would be like if Herman were our head coach? It would be off the rails. And rightfully so. Recruiting A Integrity A+ (to a fault, unfortunately, refer to BDP is still a coach on this staff) Game Planning/Management C-/D+
Got dammit. You HAD to reimind me didn't you! Call it what you want. What I want to know is if anyone uses any positive descriptors for it. That's how many feel about that hard-headed clusterphuck walking our sideline. If you're walking to the barn and you step in a pile of shit, that's okay. i forgot but I noticed and felt this personally and immediately as it was going down then suddenly it didnt. And I mentioned it on more than one occasion. Everyone and i mean everyone I knew was on board with Les being shipped out. I think we all had this crazy mix of emotions when we slowly realized we had to make this marriage work after knowing it was all over. This caused even more resentment with no easy fix. Les has done most everything right since; beating the aggies, winning the bowl game, good coaching hires, excellent recruiting class. So hes doing his part. whether we want to sleep with him anymore is another thing. So now we have many in denial telling themselves they didnt really want him out. Liars. and many others resenting we are stuck with the same thing we thought we were rid of. either way, we gotta just hope as fans most of it gets fixed while our talent reigns supreme and we get a few breaks along the way. it happened before. it can happen again.
til he lost to wisconsin scoring 13 points. coaches are worshiped like a backup qb til they lose one game. then they all suck. its why coaching is a tough gig on any level.
