All those runs in 8 man fronts was purely do to inept players. Most likely the difference in #1 recruiting vs #3... I might have missed the data, how do you know I dont get enjoyment from bitching? Oh yea, I must be misserable because I noticed Les Miles downward trend. I mean, I dont get boners watching LSU get shutout by Ark two years in a row. Ar Kan sawww... They lost to TOLEEEDOEEE But I have to sit here and watch you cry because I cried.. Seriously! Why are you filled with misery about my misery? I usually do after picking myself up and trying again.... Quitter. Prove it.
What some take as negative others feel is realistic. We started off 7-0 last season, and most of us still thought based on the wins that we would lose 3 or 4 games. They really were not dominating wins, and we kept mediocre teams in it until the end. I know the media and the rankings brought us all the way up to number 2 in the country. This was just not realistic. Now! we get some saying that we will start off the season number 1. Really? We have the same players that got dominated two seasons in a row to Bama and Arkansas. What makes it different? The other teams may have lost all there players? Maybe some freshman will come in and be superstars. Even though that is a lofty prediciton. We lost both of our Offensive Tackles. The QB is still probably going to be the same. I am very happy with LSU. We have been to 3 National Championships in my lifetime and won 2 of them. Do I believe next years team is all that? Maybe/Maybe Not. Only time will tell.
I held out little hope that we'd beat Alabama even coming in #1 in the nation in the playoff rankings. I didn't see a great defense, I didn't see any kind of special teams (other than being a liability), and we sheltered our QB way too much early on in the season. We were LF7 or bust. Simple as that. Fucking Les Miles.
You know it happens just about every year, even in 08 we started out like 5 or 6-0 then spiraled out of control. It's because our schedule is backloaded. It sets us up every year to be fooled by barely wins over crap teams.
