I don't see Miles doing anything differently in this game. I don't see him risking injury to score more points. I'm sure Flynn will be the first to see the bench if we get a comfortable lead. The rest will come out in the 4th quarter if the score dictates it.

    i disagree.
sos will put emphasis on stopping the run and the short routes, perhaps he will wait a series to see if their good LBs can handle it but i doubt it. at least one safety will be up right off the bat. crowton will have to pass first then mix it up with the run then finish off their worn out D with the run in the 2nd half.

it will be tough to pull away early. LSU will need to get turnovers, or special teams plays, or deep passes or perfect offensive execution to lite em up from the start.

what "so much"? is his job description to win 11 games or is it to win something. no sec championships, getting throttled by uga in seccg and one bcs bowl win (in an easy matchup). he's done a fine job, but he shouldnt be crowned king for it. once he wins something he'll get his due respect--especially after beating three (maybe four) NC ring-wearing coaches this season

It's an old Spurrier tactic. Make inflammatory comments before a game to get the opponent thinking about him instead of the game. Everybody, especially the team, should just ignore the Ol' Ball Roach.

My attitude on what to do in blowout games: take your starters out, and let your backups run the basic schemes. Don't run trick plays, but don't just shut it down and run up the middle all the time either. Run your basic offense and your basic defense, including standard blitzes and such, with your backups. It provides your backups valuable experience, more valuable than if you just had them try to run out the clock for a quarter.

Nice that it is a discussion point whether our starters will have to stay on the field all four quarters. I will just settle for a convincing win. Always nervous with the visor on the other sideline.

I would just point out in response to the above that our starters have been in the game during the early parts of the 4th quarter in games we've won by over 40 points.
