Here's bits from a good article on our QB situation... As many things as we complain about with Russell, it sure looks like Jimbo & the rest of the country see something we don't.

I found this interesting, since RP was actually more highly recruited and is said to have similar arm strength and better running ability.

Just thought this deserved to be mentioned. :yelwink2: And it will be much better next season.

This is the same crap I have been saying. Mybe now that the offensive coordinator says it people will listen and just enjoy the guy while we have him.

I'll say it simply...based on what i saw last year, and yes we won 11 games last year, I was scared everytime he dropped back to pass. He was immobile and didn't see the quick reads at all. He hit a receiver in stride maybe 3 times.

I never like when coaches name the starter before the season when there are 3 starters on the roster. let them battle for it. it makes them better!

I am still trying to figure out why everyone wants him out. If we didnt have two good prospects behind Russell, everyone would probably be saying he was the best QB in the SEC.

Quite a few people share LSUDork's opinion on the subject, including myself.

The developers don't have the dev kits, it's insanely difficult to efficiently use the hardware due to its parallel nature (same problem with the PS2), it costs $600/$500 and around $1000 to make, sucky PS network, Sony will lose their entire profits for 2005 if they sell 1 million PS3's, etc.

Like cajdav pointed out yesterday, all the talent in the world doesn't mean sh*t at QB in real game situations if you don't have it together in your head.

flynn makes it look more easily...

russell looks confused sometimes, but ultimately, he also makes it happen

it don't matter how the job gets done, as long as it DOES get done...

so in that case, I go with the man with 11 wins over the man with 1

Everybody doesn't. Just a few of the usual complainers who never sat though a losing season at LSU and seem to think that LSU is somehow entitled to a National Championship every season. Most of us are with the coaches on our opinion of Russell.
