The thing is he plays the same way against the cupcakes, just no one takes notice because we are winning.

If it was just the pressure of playing the big teams, I would back off of him, because hell I couldnt play in those situations error free.

The thing is when we play the cupcakes the mistakes do not kill us, or put us in a position to be killed because they are cupcakes.

Its not that he plays up or down to any opp, he plays the same and thats what I dont like about him, its like he does not seem to want or doesnt think that making the same mistakes over and over and over again is a big deal.

    :hihi:

If we only accounted for our home opponents, JaMarcus's QB rating & passing efficiency are remarkable - not just remarkable, but all time record setting as well... I'd like to see you defend this statement.

A couple more....1. Same as your no. 2, but against UT at the end of the first half of last years game in the red zone=no points. And 2. the play before the Busta play at end of AU game. Threw to JV in middle of the field with 14 sec left. Thanks to illegal form. penalty, time didn't run out.

You're right, NO QB is mistake free. But my problem is that JR makes the same mistakes over and over. He hasn't learned from them. And I don't think Flynn would be any better, cause he doesn't have as much game experience as JR.

Because it shouldnt matter weither we win or lose a mistake is a mistake, and its a mistake that can be corrected.

How hard is it to understand that when you have nothing open and cant run it to throw the ball away. He has some grasp on it because he did it once during the last drive.

And everyone is human and everyone has a bad game and everyone makes mistakes. But if either one of us contuined to make the same mistakes for over 2 season we would not have a job.

Do I know if Flynn or RP is better then JR? no I dont. DO I want to see JR replaced by Flynn or RP? Not at this time. DO I want to see JR practice more to learn the finer points of the game? YES, HELL YES

The guy has the talent to be a GREAT QB but here and in the NFL, but if he does not learn the finer points he will not be able to show his true ability.

That one shouldn't have been a big deal because the clock should've stopped - it was an error by the refs.

I thought about including that one, but wasn't sure if it was a called play or not. Can't blame JR if it was a called play.

You can not base everything on stats. You have to watch the games.

The same bad pass against ULL, is not gonna reproduce the same effect as it would againts Florida.

You have yet to show any evidence supporting your argument. The facts (margin of victory) and statistics both support my view point.

Well if you would all like to gather at a place and we can get our hands on game films I would be happy to show you plenty of evidence of mistakes that were made but the cupcake teams were not able to capitalize on.

Are you gonna sit there and say that ULL, Tulane, Miss St, Zona, and Fresno St Secondary are even in the same class as Auburn, Florida, and Tenn?

    Crip,

JaMarcus makes mistakes. He makes them in big games & small games. I pointed out all the major mistakes he's made this season, including ones that did not affect the outcome of the game. I'm not claiming that he's error free or even that he doesn't repeat mistakes he's made before. I'm saying that his mistakes are minimal relative to most other college QBs in the country. Every QB makes mistakes - Quinn, Troy Smith, Hart, anyone else you could think of - they all make mistakes. But how many of the nation's top defenses have they faced that expose those mistakes?

I don't know if this is 100% true or not, but I heard that Doucet ran the wrong route on that play. It was a timing route and JR saw doucet was not where he was supposed to be about halfway through his throwing motion, tried to pull up but the ball slipped out.

Who knows if true or not, but if you go watch the play after hearing this, it looks like that is what happened.
