Both Cowan and Olson were injured in non-contact drills on the SAME day, just one day before spring practices were ending. Cowan has a knee and is out for the season, Olson has a broken foot and had surgery to insert pins. He'll be out for 6-8 weeks. Forcier is not picking up the O as quickly as they would have liked. Tough times for the bruins.

Considering what is widely known about Jax State, the idea/thought that he's going to keep his nose clean is asinine. One thing he does have going for him. He won't have to crack open a book and he'll graduate if he doesn't transfer.

If he goes to Jax St., I don't think he'll go back to D1. He may play one year and declare for the draft. I don't see him wanting to hang around in college if he transferred and played right away. That may not be best decision for him, but he has not shown a propensity for making the best decision, so I think that's the way he'd head. He could end up like the running back from Ohio St. who's not in football anymore, maybe in jail. I hope not, I'd like to see him play well for a year and make it in the pro's. But there are a lot of risks out there with this guy.

So what? Timmy Chang is the all-time passing leader in the NCAA. Doesn't mean squat (see also: Colt Brennan). Just like how Jamarcus' stats were underwhelming. Yeah, Timmy gives college D's hell. But no way his style (trying to run over defenders) flies in the league. He doesn't have the NFL arm, and his mechanics are bad. That's what scouts look at.

'System QB's' have an extremely tough time making the transition to the NFL.

Tebow is far from a system QB. I agree college success doesn't always transition into the pros but I think Tebow will be a good pro. I think his best chance is to improve his passing 4 years in college to get drafted higher though.

Curious. Would you have called Steve McNair a system QB? He's a lot like Tebow.

LSU or not it would be nice to see him get it together and succeed. He is from LA, and I wish all LA players the best.

I've supported RP all along and hoped that we were wrong about him, and that he would pull it together. However, I can't say I want to wish him all the best at this point in time...
