Are we setting up something for future plays? It seems that every snap of the FLA game that he came into, I was counting down the play clock to the final second. We wasted a couple of timeouts as well.

I hope that this is a strategy for future games.

I hope it not a bad sign about his readiness to play if something happens to MF. He seemed a little confused at times.

He started the Middle Tennessee game, and I don't remember this being a big issue in that game.

I'm a "glass half FULL" guy, but I can pretty much assure you that they aren't "setting up for future plays" when Perrilloux is asleep at the wheel. It's really pretty simple...this is why he's not the starter. He'll learn, and next year will be his year. You don't burn two timeouts against friggin' UF to "set up future plays".:nope:

I think this is because he's running in and out of plays. When he was a starter and always in the game, this wasn't a problem.

He doesn't have enough time to get the play from the coach, run in and call the play in the huddle, then read the defense and maybe call and audible. When he tried to call an audible is when he ran into trouble with the play clock. Just not enough time for all that.

It's just another thing RP has to learn, and probably will learn with a little more experience. Dude is definitely on target developmentally, but he still sometimes shows that he's a sophomore getting his first significant action.

His decisions in the option game have been spot-on all season, which is surprising for an inexerienced QB.
