1. Re: WWL siting inside sources from LSU/lsusport.net story - merged threads

I was pondering all of this over in my head and something that came to mind is maybe CLM is letting RP have some time off and not pressuring him to hurry back to Spring training in light of his father dying recently...could this be the case? I mean, it seems missing team meetings and some classes isn't much for Miles to suspend the boy for seeing his father just died.

Maybe I am just completely hoping RP is still our man but this could be a possibility, am I right?

Wow, somehow I feel I did not say anything wrong. I really do not like being included with your percentile. Not really taking you statement personal but there are some other opinions which reflect the position mackey took. No?

I feel for RP losing his Dad. Burdens don't justify repeatedly leaving your teammates hanging while you pursue your own agenda.

:rolleye33::insane:Not sure how a Republican writes, or how you surmised I write like one. But you surmised wrong. I'm not and I didn't. But what that has to do with this conversation is beyond me. Oh, wait. I know. But I won't say it. I'll let you say it. And President is capitalized when referring to THE President of the United States.

:nope:Uh....No. In fact, I very badly want all this to amount to bored LSU fanatics reading too much into a press release that was unwisely released by Coach Miles. But, I'm not holding my breath.

Perhaps you should read my posts. That way you could stop surmising and graduate to analysis.

BTW. His talent is not the point. Coach Miles' determination of his fit on the team is the point. Tons of talented folks out there, but talent is perishable and requires stewardship. RP isn't currently being a good steward of his own talent and, IMO, CLM is giving him AMPLE opportunities to learn to do just that.

Yes, but if you don't think CLM should just wipe his nose, bandage his knee, kiss his cheek, give him a lollipop and send him back out to play, then you are a big meanie and part of the problem!

    the majority, then.

being we have to be politically correct.

Honestly crunch I have not taken a position on the entire ordeal and that is my very point. I am waiting for the horses mouth to speak to accumulate an opinionated perspective on the events at hand. I have posted this thread twice to which one was a smarta$$ comment about nothing related and the other was a general opinion which I carefully omitted RP from. I am willing to withdraw the smarta$$ remark should it be found tasteless but the other I firmly stand by.

I shall never call out political correctness, just being fair to others who share the same opinion you elaborated to. Outside the percentile, I agree 100%.:thumb:

I think Clair was reacting to the perception that folks want RP's nugget on a platter. Of course, some do. But I think the vast majority of the regular posters have all made it clear they hope this is not a big deal and that RP eventually puts all this crud behind him. Perhaps CLM is just trying to hold the kid's feet to the fire? I dunno. I hope so. As do you and Clair and many others.
