I am very concerned about USM's hatred towards people against RP.

They (me) didnt like him, get over it.

 

I just want to say that I think Miles has handled this just about perfectly... he didn't jump to conclusions and throw him off the team, but he didn't also do what I suspect many coaches would do, which is to basically give what he did do (which was to basically act like an a-hole with some bouncers who also acted like a-holes) to possibly impress his girlfriend) a free pass once no criminal charges were forthcoming - he's being punished, a good example is being set, yet he's being given a punishment commiserate with his actions. Perrilloux is acting like a lot of young men - but he will need to realize that he needs to mature quickly, or his potential NFL career will evaporate, and he may find himself following in the footsteps of Cecil Collins.

It will kill black America to know that the "white man" doesn't sit around and hope for the demise of the black athlete. White men do not sit around in fear of the black man taking over the planet if they are not kept QUIET. There is no race card to play here...it doesn't have anything to do with RP's color...it is his lack of the ability to stay out of bad press.

The "hysteria" that surrounds RP is not caused by racism...it is caused by his lifestyle and the inability for him to live to a higher standard because he is at a higher level than the average Joe Schmo...white or black.

 

How am I being hateful? By defending RP whereas you were not? Feeling a bit defensive?

 

I am concerned that he is really Al Sharpton, and intends to shut this forum down if we don't let RP do whatever the heck he wants to do in the name of the fact that he is black, and therefore feels that every must accept him regardless of lifestyle or amount of unnecessary bad publicity for the University. :lol:

I'm just saying that he came in here as an arrogant, loud mouthed black kid, and that type of attitude pisses some people off to no end. Alot of our fan base was instantly turned off by his demeanor, and that drives alot of the constant criticism.

 

Hey, watch the disrespect noobie. Don't come in here getting personal on long time members. You were just as disrespectful to RP as anyone else, so if that is your grand entrance into these forums, well, you might want to step back, and knock on the door again.

 

Obviously not to do what they did last Thursday night. It's one thing to escort someone out, it's another to do it in a way that gets you fired.

You compared them to public officials. Personally I think comparing bouncers to people who actually serve and protect is stretching a little bit.

You claim that the people that don't like RP are racist, but then you make a racist comment about coonasses. You seem to be the racist here. People like Flynn bc of the way he carries himself, not the color of his skin. People DON'T like RP bc he comes off as an arrogant loud mouth kid. His color has nothing to do with his actions. Glenn Dorsey was at the club, but he didn't get into trouble did he? No he acted like a mature adult and LEFT. RP needs to grow up and learn to make better choices. Quit giving him excuses to use when he Messes up. Make him look himself in the mirror and realize that he needs to change how he acts.
