  1. Re: Perilloux to be cleared.........

Agreed. But who is to let inconvenient facts get in the way of bashing a kid who has taken more undeserved criticism than any player in LSU history?
  2. Re: Perilloux to be cleared.........

RP will not be kicked off the team. Miles is waiting for the facts before making a decision and it looks like the facts are in RP's favor. If he wasnt waiting for facts he would have booted him directly after hearing about the incident.

Miles has already taken the blame for the players being out late since he did not set a curfew. Remeber he was not the only player out past 2am and probably more than half of the team was out past that time either at the Varsity or other bars/parties.

However, Miles could still sit him for the game but I would guess he will travel with the team no matter what the decision.

The gameplan already being changed has no real effect on him playing or not because it wouldnt include major changes for the amount and type of plays RP comes in for.

Five star LSU recruit Deangelo Benton's brother.
  4. Re: Perilloux to be cleared.........

Are you suggesting he wasn't there after the close at 2am? I think that's well established and could be enough evidence of poor judgment for CLM to conclude that he lacks the maturity to be the leader of this team in the future.

I'm not judging. Just providing rationale for a decision CLM could use.
  5. Re: Perilloux to be cleared.........

This won't be the last time RP gets into trouble...mark it down!
And the fact that he was so quick to play the race card cooks his grits with me! Another few days and we would have seen Rev. Al and Jesse down here!
    Yeah...we really need that!
  6. Re: Perilloux to be cleared.........

Weren't supposedly between 20 and 40 football players there when it happened? Should we send all of them packing for being @ the concert of a teammate?

I take offense @ the folks from The Varsity spreading rumors like wildfire all over the Internet (and LSU forums); these guys were making themselves seem like victims of a gang attack. Let's face it: it may just be that RP has made himself an easy target with his past problems.
  7. Re: Perilloux to be cleared.........

Wow, We really have some childish people on this board!
Ok, First of all if you want to boycott the Varsity then maybe you should boycott or protest anyone that is responsible for making or upholding laws in this country and the state of Louisiana.

Last I read RP and ODom were told to leave the bar at 2am and if you won't leave your looking for trouble!
I've always said that if the story were true and I trusted the coaches to make the right decision.
HOWEVER I am troubled about the game Saturday because this could be a distraction.
I also don't understand some of the conduct in this thread by people wanting to bash others.
My justification is that this isn't the first time RP has ever gotten himself into or around trouble
I am more concerned because RP didn't learn his lesson the first time around and for that reason I am concerned he still might not have learned that lesson.
I am withholding further comments until the rest of the story is released.

  8. Re: Perilloux to be cleared.........

Marlon Favorite was at the bar also because his band\rap group? was playing. You think he should go too? CLM didn't set a curfew because there was no game Saturday. Punishing them solely because they were out past curfew would be lame on his part because they broke no team rule in doing so.
  9. Re: Perilloux to be cleared.........

He might have a fair play on the race card. If RP was a quiet white kid do you think he would get half of the flack that he does? Sorry to say, but LA. still has alot of incredibly racist people, and I think that drives half of this hysteria against RP.
  10. Re: Perilloux to be cleared.........

The cops are the people who uphold the law, not the bouncers at the varsity. Last I've heard the cops have cleared him.
