Ryan Perrilloux will not play this weekend - per Les Miles @ 6:10pm

    I want to make it clear that I don't have a dog in this fight. I think RP is an exceptional talent.

    However, I spent a few years wearing shiny little bars on my collar in the USMC and I'm looking at this from a leadership perspective. Everyone seems to be very excited that RP will be cleared. Unfortunately, that has little to do with the decision CLM will ultimately make. His decision will based on his perception of RPs behavior as it relates to their agreement. If it's CLM's judgment that RP broke that agreement and showed poor judgment that he considers detrimental to the team and projects a lack of maturity for the future QB and leader of this team, he'll dismiss him from this team.

    A bar is a private establishment.
    When I use to go to these places bouncers were always escorting and keeping people out.
    Please explain to me what their jobs are since I don't know?
    Why do they get paid?

    Agree but it was his brother's idea which makes it even more minor from a legal standpoint.

    Thanks, but I meant more along the lines of the extent of Odom and RP's involvement, whether Odom is still a part of the team, etc., and CLM may or may not address that. Also, what of the bouncers that were supposedly fired? A lot of people are assuming that these are all facts but there hasn't been any official confirmation of anything yet.

    If I were Miles, I would make it a point to get RP into this game at some point. He was cleared. And although I do not like the fact that the players are out at bars at 2 am, they are college kids and that is to be expected.

    My thinking here is based on the thought that maybe if he shows some confidence in RP that he will stay on the correct path. He apparently did no wrong from a legal standpoint, and took some heat because of it. Even had to sit out two practices because of simple hearsay. He was not given the benefit of the doubt because of his history. I can't say I blame Miles for this, he was trying to protect the reputation of the school. BUt now since it appears to be nothing, he should not be punished any further. And should play as normal.

    At least we aren't doing what they posters on that other (more reactionary) LSU forum are doing; claiming that this is just a big coverup by CLM and the University.

    It was previosly reported that bouncers were fired and my sister worked there up until last week and I talked to a few of her friends who were not at work because they were fired. I also know some quit becuase of the handling of the situation. The Varsity did not open on Saturday because of the lack of employees and because of the fear of retalliation. The Varsity is now at the no comment phase of the process.

    We will hear more on the extent of Odom and RP later but I am pretty confident with my previous predictions on the matter.

    Btw, Fisher has given Miles a copy of the polygragh and the tapes were poor quality and no faces could be viewed. Could only see the yellow shirts worn by the bouncers.

    F the Varsity. I had sworn it off long ago, only to be convinced by a group of friends to go on my birthday last year (while I was under the influence, mind you). I hadn't been there 5 minutes when I was thrown out for literally no reason whatsoever. One of the bartenders decided that he didn't like me, and that was the evening. I couldn't be happier that that overcrowded sh!thole is getting all this bad press. Nothing would satisfy me more than if it ultimately spelled the end, but I know that it won't.

    Someone needs to go to the Varsity tonight for the Halloween party dressed as RP...and take pictures....

    The Facebook thing has really been confusing me. If the Varsity incident took place around 2 am Friday, why would he write these status messages at 8 am Saturday, a full day later? (Unless it was on Friday night and the reports mean 2 am Saturday)
