I was watching Sportscenter and Stuart Scott said "Former LSU Tiger Ryan Theriot who helped LSU win the 2000 NC, hits a 3-run double to put the Cubs ahead of Colorado."
It ended up being the game-winner so Ryan made the most of his opportunity since he just got the nod to start at 2b.

Man, it seems like every time I see a former Tiger baseballer play in a game or on Sportscenter, they mention the fact that they went to LSU. I've seriously never heard them mention the colleges of others at such a high frequency. Do I just notice it more because of my LSU affiliation, or is it because of the prominence of the program? Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, I guess the 5 national titles in 10 years is why.
