Any golf fans besides me? The Euros have owned us winning 7 of the last 10 matches. The US team is an underdog on paper heading into this years matches at Gleneagles in Scotland. It will be interesting to see if the US captain Tom Watson can inspire the US players to an upset victory. I'll be up early Friday - Sunday watching it live. Geaux USA!!!
Absolutely! I'll be watching as much as I can. Love watching golf. Love watching US vs anybody in anything. So, I will definitely be glued! Euro's clearly have the more talented team, and several of their guys have been really playing well lately. One or two players left off for US that should have been on, so wonder if that comes back to bite.
Anyone besides Horschel? I think Tom basically said too little, too late and I would tend to agree with Tom.
Well, for the Capt. picks, Chris Kirk, and Brandt Snedeker were good options. Webb's been okay, and obviously has a US Open under his belt, but not sure he deserves to be in over Kirk - could argue that either way really. Bradley finished strong and matches up w/Phil, otherwise, he's had a subpar year. Snedeker's been up and down, so tough one there, too. I'm glad he left Tiger off, just not deserving this year. Really, no right answer.
Trust me if Tiger was healthy Tom would have picked him in a heartbeat. TGC aired a feature on Michael Jordan at the 2012 Cup and him trying to get under Poulter's skin. It obviously blew up in MJ's face and he admitted it. Good stuff. Watch it if you can.
Well, ironically I think that because everyone thinks they will get their asses handed to them, I in turn think they have a shot.
Obviously I hope we win the Cup, but realistically I think our chances are somewhere between slim & none. Big Meaux is on the Euro's side and they are playing in Scotland. That's too tough a hill to climb for the US team.
