    The US squad should be tickled bright pink. We were down in 3 matches when I dozed off and I woke up just in time to see Phil & Bradley win their match. US is up 2 1/2 - 1 1/2 heading into the afternoon alternate shot matches.

    The Euros hit the shots and made the putts in the alternate shot format. That format has always been a weakness for us. We're only down 2 points after day 1. Still 2 days of golf left with 20 points left. The Fat Lady's not even warming up.

    I saw Amy many years ago at Castle Pines when her & Phil first got married. She's "grown" a lot since then.

    US squad cut the defecit to 1 point with a good performance in the fourball matches. Won 2 & halved 1 match. Interesting to see Watson didn't play Bradley & Mickelson all day.

    What is not being discussed, mainly due to Amy's hilltops, is Jimmy Walker and Ricky Fowler with a classic and epic photo bomb.
