Re: Chadd lets the bammers have it! Of course, you're right about generalizing. But the point is those postings are shameful...and cowardly. In no way, can anyone defend them. I've been on this site about a year and things have gotten pretty heated on a few occasions. But as tough as some responses have been, I've never seen anything this raunchy. This is the kind of stuff one wouldn't want to sign one's name to publicly. Thus, the devastation produced by attributing the quotes, particularly the one from a worksite. You know their mommas wouldn't approve...and you shouldn't either.:dis: :dis: :dis:
Re: Chadd lets the bammers have it! The replies to Scott are raunchy, but did'nt he ask for some abuse ? He threw some pretty heavy insults to ALL Alabama fans. Is anyone suprised that a few nutcases replied as they did ? I must admit that I don't like it when "fans" of a particular school are painted with such a broad brush - especially if it is LSU. This kind of reminds me of the stupid internet "factual accounts" of LSU fans abuse to visitors.
Re: Chadd lets the bammers have it! I am by no means defending those emails. But also cannot defend passing judgement on an entire fanbase because of the idiotic actions of a few. "Few" meaning the number of "emails" relative to the total number of fans within a fanbase. I can tell you countless instances (a few of them I was an eye witness to) about LSU fans that would make you walk away in shame and disgrace. I can send you emails I received from so called "friends" when Bama hired Saban. I now have four fewer "friends". But I know for a fact it would be narrow minded of me to label the ENTIRE fanbase with words that describe these "fans" in those situations.
Re: Chadd lets the bammers have it! So you are still around....he did tell it like it is with the bama nation.:geauxtige
Re: Chadd lets the bammers have it! And you have plenty of support for your position at this site. The fact that "Chad" is an Auburn alum isn't exactly coincidental. And boorish behavior is still wrong, regardless of what fan base it comes from. But like that great philosopher once said, "Can't we just all get along?"
Re: Chadd lets the bammers have it! I've been frequenting message boards for about three or four years now and have learned a few things when it comes to football message boards. You've got fans that want to talk "football" then you've got fans that soley want to talk trash and act an idiot. The ones that spend more time "talking football" are the fans that truly respresent the fanbase. They are the ones make visiting "rival" message boards fun. However the ones that spend more time bashing other programs and taking cheap shots at other fanbases are the ones that create these bad "perceptions" of fanbases from all SEC schools. The closest thing these people come to talking about the game is " [Insert your school] SUX!!!" And in myopinion the reason people do this is because they absolutely have no knowledge of the game. Fans that are educated about the game and are educated about other teams and their personnel can truly "talk football" and that is fun. But what's not fun is having to deal with narrow minded idiots that associate themselves with a certain fanbase and does nothing to give their team or fanbase a good name.
Re: Chadd lets the bammers have it! Got to hand it to Terry and Bamabuzzard, they probably could up the anti in the LSU/Alabama football series without the Saban hire. A question on recruiting for Terry and Bamabuzzard --- while Saban was at LSU he (as well as many other coaches) avoided recruiting the Memphis area because of the Albert Means mess as well as rumors about a lot of other recruiting problems. Do you think Saban he will recruit the Memphis area now? We hear a lot about his hire, but not much about Alabama recruiting in the area. I know Ole Miss and Tennessee recruit hard here. Just wondering what you are hearing. ldskule:

The fact of the matter is, this Chad set out to ambush the whole "Bama Nation" and he succeeded in flushing out a few of the trashy fans who responded in a way to throw disrepute on the whole group, for those people looking for any excuse to do so. This from a guy who "produces" another fellow's radio show and uses aliases on his web site. Sounds pretty cowardly to me. In spite of the way he described himself, he's got a long way to go to match the 'ideal' he painted of himself. He may be a coward, but-at least in this case- he did have a certain amount of success.
