OK, if this happens, does anyone have to find Terry and apologize for us laughing at him when he garaunteed (sp?) this was going to happen?

Re: Nick Saban and Terrell Owens????

The way the Cowboys are playing, Parcells is probably done. Maybe Jerry Jones will steal Saban away from Bama/Miami and put Nick and TO together.

What Terry said is that per his source, Saban himself had spoken with Bama. He also insisted that Saban initiated the contact. All indications are that at that point in time only Sexton had briefly spoken with Bama, and it was becuase Bama called him.

Actually, I had forgotten about that exchange. I meant when he came on here and said mark it down Saban WILL be the next coach at BAMA.

All you Saban lovers can keep defending this guy all you want. Now you can become Alabama fans too. He is the Larry Brown of football. He has no loyalty to anyone. He could care less about LSU.

Well, they could both use some Vagasil. That's for damn sure.

We were already in that situation in the past, and that didn't happen. We apparently "got" a coach of calibre.

Hence it "would" happen is not guaranteed. Anywhere.

The future is just that, the future, a short tenure of any coach is no guarantee that the next hire will be of less calibre. or more.

It is kind of like saying, a co-worker quit today and he was a great worker and if this keeps happening then the next guy they hire won't be any good. While it certainly is "possible"......You have no way of "knowing" that.

Bama or Miami could just as easily out of sheer luck hire a "great" coach when Saban leaves, even if he stays 10 minutes or ten years.

There was no magic formula or soothsayers guarantee when we hired Saban or Miles for example. Either of them could have been terrible hires, except for their past record & the Ad's ( SKIP's ) gut feeling, which is all we have to go on. Thus any future coaches we have to go on their record too. The already proven coaches may not be so apt to go to a place that has allot of turnover in coaches, but coaches have to start somewhere. Saban didn't start out winning NC's. Neither did Mack Brown. There was a time when Joe Paterno was unknown and a possible "risk" had to be taken to hire him. Often an athletic director has to look deeper than the win /lose record.

So not getting into a pissing match with you either, but that is how I saw your post. I do believe I left you positive rep for it and if I have misunderstood, please accept my apologies.
