When asked the question regarding his future as Dolphins coach, he paused, put his head down, took a deep breath, and then told the reporter that we weren't talking about it. To me, that means he is leaving. He could have killed it right there. He could have easily said Yes, I will be the Dolphins coach in 2007. Instead, he didn't comment on it. He is gone.

The vague comments, the failure to actually commit to anything... Its funny watching the fin fans who came here deal with the very same thing. Welcome to the world of Nick Saban. As for Miles, yes he has already proved himself.

To his defense, what good would it have done? He said a week ago that he is not going to be the Alabama coach, and here we are today still talking about it.

All he had had to say was something to the effect "If Mr. Huizenga wants me to coach the Dolphins in 2007 I'll be here to coach them." That would have ended the speculation right then and there. He chose not to, which I guess adds more fuel to the fire that he's going to Bama.

Re: Saban to be offered 40-50 million contract... If Saban takes the Bama job, he will always know he was Bama's sloppy seconds...after WV's CRR had his way with the Tiders. I'm sure the dollars will sooth his ego, though.
