DON'T LISTEN TO THE HATERS, MAN! SABAN and BAMA are BACK! Think of the final scene in the James Cagney movie, "White Heat", when he's raising his arms in triumph and yells: "MADE IT MA ! TOP OF THE WORLD !" Bama wins the SEC this year and wins it all in 2009 and 2010.
If that happens I won't bother burning Saban's house I'll just burn mine and sit out in street and cry like a school girl.
(Yawn) Ranking recruiting classes is very subjective and can't be judged accurately for 2-3 years after the player has been there. In addition, very few points usually seperate the top 10 teams,so it doesn't really matter. The games still have to be played.
Every SEC team faces the same problems. So the road to the BCSNC will not be any harder for anyone else given the talent they accumulate and develop. True, LSU will be one of Bama's biggest problems but no more than Auburn or any other school that shows up on any given Saturday and gives it there all. Just as y'all will be a "problem" for Bama we'll be a problem for you and hopefully today we took a GIANT step in becoming a major problem. But we'll see.
Well then disregard all after bon jour and rant on, amigo. If they EXPECT crystal footballs, they are setting themselves up for failure. Same goes for us.
This certainly "feels" right. Someone should analyze that and prove it. I don't think I have the time, but I'll give it a shot.
BAMA might have the #1 recruiting class in terms of total points, but that was accomplished due to the fact that they recruited 32 players, only two other teams in the top 15 recruited 30 players (Miami and FSU). Rivals bases their rankings on total points so the more players, the more chances of being ranked higher. Looking at avgs. they're 6th and we're 9th, which closes the gap between 1st and 11th based on total points.
Wrong. Rivals only counts your top 20 players and actually if you have a bigger class it hurts you, as each new commit isn't worth as many points. This wasn't the response you wanted, was it?
