I doubt Nick would leave but its always a possibility. Anyone who says there is no way is only fooling themselves. The best thing we can do as fans is to support this team, support our coach and his assitants, dont boo at the freakin games and hope for the best. By making sure we do our part in making Saban feel like hes at the best place for him and his family (which I believe he already thinks that) will always help minimize the chances he leaves.
Does anyone here actually believe Saban will retire at LSU? I don't... With that said, Saban is saying what he is suppose to say and will continue to say it each and every year ... until he leaves LSU. There's not much more he can do to stop all these rumors.
The following is not pointed at anyone in particular on the forum, so please don't take it as such...No offense intended. It's my opinion that he'll be around for at least 2-3 more seasons.... Maybe even more... But what do I know? It's just a hunch and nothing more. It's rather disappointing to see poeple so worried, even after Saban's said time and time again that he loves the people here, loves the city, loves the school, loves the stadium, loves the food, etc, etc, etc, etc.... Quit worrying and enjoy him being here while he's here... Granted, I wouldn't want him to leave either. But people should try to stop reading things into what he says because truth is, the only one that knows for sure (or at least more than anyone else) how long Saban will be here is Saban himself.... All of this worry and speculation is just as agrivating as all the people crying about GWB winning the election...
Correct...Saban HAS to say that he isn't interested in leaving or LSU would start looking for someone right then and there. Saban is eventually going to leave LSU, I just don't know when.
Having a coach like Saban is similar to having a beautiful girlfriend. You better get used to guys taking shots at her because if you don't your actions and words are going to drive her away. I think Skip and the LSU admin know that Saban is going to get a bunch of offers are requests for interviews with Nick and I think they will handle it well. Some of the fans will get all tied up in knots every time though.
