Well.... I'd bet most of these rumors are baseless. However, it is true this yearly NFL stuff does affect recruiting. There needs to be a buyout clause in Saban's contract if he stays.

All I am saying is that this year's saga IS affecting recruiting. The proof is in the above statement. You can draw whatever conclusions you want.
IMO, "affecting recruiting" means they aren't coming to LSU. That has not happened. Signing day is in February, not December...
Maybe you should look up the definition of "affecting" then, because based on your statement above, you don't know what it means.
If you want to get your panties in a wad over what a recruit says in December, knock yourself out! It is a FACT that Saban to NFL rumors have had little or no impact on our recruiting in the past, and should he be here in February, this latest saga will turn out much like the others. Sorry wasnt trying to rip off anyones name...been using this as an email address and board name since May of 99 when I graduate. Sorry about that....yeah i figure someone would rip what I wrote in my last post, and really figured it would be stupid to write it, but my friend seemed pretty adament about all of this butch davis crap so I figured I would post it. Probably not a good move on my part because I really dislike Tigerroar.com because that is all any does there. To make up for it, here is a better post...Would you guys be as pissed as I would be if by some weird turn of events we hire Tubby? I live in Alabama now, and I have found that no Auburn fan trusts Tubby about as far as they could throw him, and gives most of the credit to Al Borgas for the big turnaround. OH yeah, IMO, Perriloux would probably be better off going to Texas. I just dont see him overtaking Jamarcus until he leaves. I think JR will live up to expectations in the coming years. Nothing but upside with this guy. Everyone here in Alabama is actually pulling for the guy. That is how well thought of he is here. Hey LSUGradin99, how about a compromise...how about I change my to 99LSUGrad or something along those lines???
Once again, I was simply stating a fact. I'm not the one who got worked up, you are. You drew your own conclusions. I never said a recruit wasn't coming, and I never said a recruit might not come. I state that this saga is affecting recruiting and paste the proof, and you intrepret that to mean that a recruit is not coming. Thats your fault, not mine.
Do you see how ridiculous this all is? Let's review: Saban's gone. A done deal Saban's not going anywhere. Butch Davis is the next HC at LSU. Butch Davis is taking a year off. Saban/Miami talks are affecting recruiting Saban/Miami talks are not affecting recruiting. Saban/Sexton are holding LSU hostage Saban/Sexton not demanding more money and now...If Saban leaves RP not coming If Saban leaves, RP is coming. I've learned so much the past couple of days.
I've learned a lot about nothing with a lot of those pointless threads. I know this is serious issue but do we need so many threads on the same topic? No one knows what is going on probably not even Saban. So let's keep the whining and complaining down to a minimum until we find out what happens.
