In this week's issue of Sport's Illustrated, Peter King says in his two cents column: "I'll bet you a bowl of gumbo that LSU's Nick Saban coached in the NFL next year. My best bets: Lions, Giants, Falcons I know success creates speculation but I get so tired of hearing this. I know he's not going to be here forever but let's get through the season before the rumors start - and that's my two cents!!!
Here we go again. It happens every year, and WILL happen every year. We just have to get used to it. It comes with the territory when you have the best coach around. They're starting early this year.
Yeah we hear this stuff every year but look at it as a compliment. We must really have something special if people keep thinking he going to be a pro coach soon. Let's just hope Nick will stick around long enough for a National Title
Boy, King is really laying it on the line with that bet. A whole bowl of gumbo?!?!?! He must have some solid sources that tell him that some people think that Saban has talked to some people that have talked to some people that know some people about the NFL. And besides, unless Chris Mortensen says it's true, it's not true.
the question is . . Will Saban come out and publically deny it? I think not doing so last year hurt your recruiting efforts (of course, you recruiting efforts so far this year have been amazing . .) I too, get tired of the same crap being printed all the time.
I don't think it is online. The only thing he said is the two sentences that I put in the original post. GEAUX TIGERS!
