Paul Finebaum alludes to a story that some Texas Boosters had made a serious offer. Finebaum said he didn't want to say more because the story is in his book that hasn't been released yet.

What does Alabama spend on football compared to LSU?

Which in my opinion is why Saban has won all the titles at Alabama. They spend more money. Which is fine with me, they wanna be the Yankees and buy championships let em be, makes it all the more sweet when things like kick 6 happen.

Had Saban stayed at LSU I think we probably see a similar W-L record that Miles posted. LSU has more things to spend money on that just football.

I'm gonna say what most people don't want to hear but ... I do not think that Saban has as good of a W-L record or another title at LSU if he stays. He's a great coach, but you put Miles at Bama and Saban here, and I think the same thing that's happened happens again.

Saban would have had issues during Katrina, and Saban would have passed up guys like TM7.

I am not an Alabama fan, but what Saban has done there has been nothing short of incredible.

Since 2008, his teams have been ranked by the AP No. 1 at least once every single season. In 2013, Alabama was the best team in America.

The Crimson Tide was hosed by the step-out-of-bounds no-call at the end of the game at Auburn, and they quite simply did not want to be in the Sugar Bowl. A 4-team playoff a year early in 2013 would have earned Alabama the incredible 3-peat they wanted.

You don't think Urban Meyer or Pete Carroll could have done the same with those resources? Even though they have with less?
