Where are all the LSU Fans? This is embarrassing. TAF is advertising as seen below: LSU Men’s Basketball is going for their first SEC Championship since 2000 and we want you there to help bring the title to Baton Rouge! In addition to the possible conference title, senior Darrel Mitchell, LSU’s all-time leading 3-point scorer, will be playing his final home game in the Maravich Center. In appreciation of your continued support of LSU Athletics, we would like to extend a special offer to the members of the Tiger Athletic Foundation for the Saturday, March 4th regular season finale when the Tigers take on Ole Miss at 3 p.m. Tickets for the game for TAF members and their families are just $7 (regularly $14) online. Tickets must be purchased online at LSUsports.net. TAF members should click the “Buy Tickets Online” link from the “Tickets” menu at the top of the page. They should then click “Promotions” at the top page and enter the code 2006TAF. Or, you can click here and enter the code 2006TAF. A $3/order service fee will also be applied (this fee is per order, regardless if you purchase one ticket or five). For more information, or if you have any questions, contact the TAF Ticket Office at, 225-578-0177. I cannot believe that we have to sell tickets at half price to get LSU fans to show up to give Darrell Mitchell a great sendoff and also to cheer our SEC CHAMPIONS TO VICTORY
Uuummmmmm...........Have you checked baseball attendance the last 10 years? If I'm not mistaken Baton Rouge leads.
I got that same email, but I didn't take it the same way you took it. I see it as them using this to kinda reward TAF members for our support.
I don't see it as a slight either...now if they were giving away tickets on the street corner then I'd say something.
errrr. we had one of the best baseball programs. smoke will not sniff a title in omaha. hes on the brady one and done program. it is sad that the basketball team has to give tickets away to get them in the pmac. tickets to my highschool basketball games cost more than this. in what should be a hard ticket to get we have to give them away to have a decent show of fans. sad sad sad.
They aren't doing this because they have to. It's a reward to TAF members, but it also ensures the PMAC is packed & I bet the hope is that enlightening fans about our success will get more fans to buy season tickets/go to more games.
go ahead and spin it however you need to in order to make you feel good about it. bottom line is it should be a tough ticket to get and you could basically go for free. sad sad sad.
