Why not? I guess they could always fall back on Brandon Marshall, but I'd almost rather see Coleman get a shot than Marshall.
Coleman never came close to living up to his potential. If Marshall can play for 7 games and draw some coverage away from Thomas I would be hapoy to have him if he is the besy available options.
We're not talking about giving him a multi year contract at max value. We just need him for 10 games or so, He doesn't need to be Dez with #9 at QB. He knows the system and won't take long to get acclimated. Or maybe just activate the kid from the practice squad. His name escapes me at the moment.
