The 15 players released are FB Jeremy Allen, DT Kenderick Allen, WR Talman Gardner, G Peter Heyer, WR Kareem Kelly, G Scot Osborne, G Melvin Paige, DE John Schlecht, CB B.J. Tucker, C Terence Wagner, DE Greg White, QB Tory Woodbury, RB Ki-Jana Carter, T Scott Sanderson and TE David Sloan.
Thats how it works in the NFL. Teams will cut players they really want to keep at the last cut who they don't think any other team will pick up in order to get under the mandatory NFL player limit and then resign them and place them on the expanded practice squad roster. A lot of it has to do with salary cap maneuvering. Don't ask me to explain the salary cap. If I understood it I could get a high paying job as a Capologist for an NFL team.
